Playing songs on USB portableaudio player/USB memory

Basic Operations
%Selecta folder
PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down.
%Fastforward or reverse
Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
%Selecta track
PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right.
%Returnto root folder
Pressand hold BAND/ESC.
Notes
!Optimumperformance of this unit may notbe
obtaineddepending on the connected USB
portableaudio player/USB memory.
!Iffolder 01 (ROOT) contains no files, playback
commenceswith folder 02.
!Whenthe USB portable audio player having
batterycharging function is connected to this
unitand the ignition switch is set to ACC or
ON,the battery is charged.
!Youcan disconnect the USB portable audio
player/USBmemory anytime you want to fin-
ishlistening to it.
!IfUSB portable audio player/USB memory is
connectedto this unit, the source is changed
toUSB automatically. If you do not use an
USBdevice, disconnect it from this unit. De-
pendingon the connected USB device, turn-
ingon the ignition switch while USB device is
connectedto this unit may change the source
automatically.
Selecting an audio file directly
in the current folder
Theoperation is the same as that of thebuilt-
inCD player.

Theoperation is the same as that of thebuilt-
inCD player. (Refer to Selecting files from the

Displaying text information of
an audio file
Theoperation is the same as that of thebuilt-
inCD player.

Notes
!Ifthe characters recorded on the audio file are
notcompatible with the head unit, those char-
actersare not displayed.
!Ifspecific information is not recorded on an
audiofile, title or name is not displayed.
!Thetext information of some audio files may
notbe correctly displayed.
!Youcan scroll the text information to the left
bypressing and holding DISP.
!WhenEver Scroll is set to ON at the initial set-
ting,text information scrolls continuously in
thedisplay. Refer to Switching the ever scroll
onpage 48.

operations
1 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display the
mainmenu.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
FUNCTION.
Turnto change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.
Thefunction menu is displayed.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select the
function.
REPEAT(repeat play)—RANDOM (random
play)—SCAN(scan play)—PAUSE (pause)—
