Playing songs on iPod

Basic operation

Youcan use this unit to control an interface
adapterfor iPod, which is sold separately.
%Fastforward or reverse
Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
%Selecta track
PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right.
Notes
!Readthe precautions for iPod on page 74.
!WhileiPod is connected to this unit, PIONEER
(or (checkmark)) is displayed on the iPod.
!Ifan error message is displayed, refer to Error
messageson page 69.
!Whenthe ignition switch is set to ACC or ON,
theiPods battery is charged while the iPod is
connectedto this unit.
!Whilethe iPod is connected to this unit, the
iPodcannot be turned on or off.
!Beforeconnecting the dock connector of this
unitto the iPod, disconnect the headphones
fromthe iPod.
!TheiPod is turned off about two minutes after
theignition switch is set to OFF.
Displaying text information on

iPod

Theoperation is the same as that of theiPod
connectedto USB interface ofthis unit. (Refer

Browsing for a song

Theoperation is the same as that of theiPod
connectedto USB interface ofthis unit. (Refer

However,the selectable categories are slightly

1 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display the
mainmenu.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
FUNCTION.
Turnto change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.
Thefunction menu is displayed.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select the
function.
REPEAT(repeat play)SHUFFLE (shuffle)

thesame as that of the built-in CD player.

!Youcan also select the function by pressing
FUNCTIONon the remote control.
!Toreturn to the ordinary display, press
BAND/ESC.
!Ifyou do not operate functions within about
30seconds, the display automatically returns
tothe ordinary display.
