Switching the auxiliary setting
Auxiliarydevices connected to this unit canbe
activatedindividually. Set each AUX source to
ONwhen using. For more information about

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select AUX1/
AUX2.
3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn AUX1/
AUX2on.
#Toturn AUX off, press MULTI-CONTROL
again.
Setting the rear output andsubwoofer controller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
put)can be used for full-rangespeaker (FULL)
orsubwoofer (SUB W) connection. If you
switchthe rear output setting to SUB W, you
canconnect a rear speaker lead directly to a
subwooferwithout using an auxiliar y amp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (FULL).

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select REAR SP.
3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to switch the
rearoutput setting.
PressingMULTI-CONTROL will switch be-
tweenFULL (full-range speaker) and SUB W
(subwoofer)and that status will be displayed.
#Whenno subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select FULL (full-range speaker).
#Whena subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select SUB W (subwoofer).
Notes
!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless you turn the subwoofer output
on(refer to Using subwoofer output on page
44).
!Ifyou change this setting, subwoofer output
inthe audio menu return to the factory
settings.
Switching the soundmuting/attenuation
Soundfrom this system is muted or attenu-
atedautomatically when the signal from the
equipmentwith mute function is received.
!Thesound is muted or attenuated, MUTE
orAT T ON are displayed and no audio ad-
justmentis possible.
!Soundfrom this system returns to normal
whenthe muting or attenuation is can-
celed.

3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to switch the tel-
ephonemuting/attenuation.
