Youcan edit the device name.

Thedevice name is set to PIONEER FLAP BT

asdefault.

1 Displaythe initial setting menu.

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select

EDITDEVICE NAME.

3 PressDISP to select the desired charac-

tertype.

PressDISP repeatedly to switch between the

followingcharacter types:

Alphabet—Numbers

4 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to

selecta letter of the alphabet.

5 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to

movethe cursor to the previous or next

characterposition.

6 Movethe cursor to the last position by

pushingMULTI-CONTROL right after enter-

ingthe device name.

PushMULTI-CONTROL right again to store

thedevice name in memory temporarily.

#PressingMULTI-CONTROL can also store the

devicename in memory temporarily. In this meth-

od,cursor doesn’t need to be the last position.

#Ifan invalid character has been entered, sub-

sequentcharacters are not displayed.

#Ifan invalid character has been entered in the

beginning,device name cannot be stored in

memory.

Displaying system versionfor repair

Shouldthis unit fails to operate properly and

youconsult your dealer for repair, you may be

askedto indicate the system versions of this

unitand of Bluetooth module. You can display

theversions and confirm them.
