FINE CHANNEL LEVEL

The following steps show you how to balance the sound output level of your speakers more finely than in the NORMAL setup (see page 42). Proper speaker balance is essential for obtaining high quality surround sound and the better the speaker balance the better surround sound you can get. Do this procedure if you want to try and get even finer surround sound.

The main difference with this setup method and the CHANNEL LEVEL setup method in NORMAL setup is that here the test tone alternates between the front left speaker (which is used as the reference channel) and the target speaker (that is, the speaker whose level you want to adjust). Listen to the two tones and try to make them the same volume.
