2. Enter a name for the new connection.

3.Select Dial-Up Connection as the connection type, and tap Next >, which will take you to the Modem menus page for your new connection.

4.Use the dropdown list to select the correct modem, and tap Configure to open the Device Properties menu.

5.For an external modem, the default settings for the modem should only be changed if the modem manufacturer’s instructions indicate such.

For the internal modem, under Port Settings, change the Baud Rate to 115200 and set any Call Options you require. Tap OK, which will set these options and take you back to the Modem menus page.

6.On the Modem menus page, tap TCP/IP Settings... and configure the General and Name Servers options. Tap OK.

7.On the Modem menus page, tap Next > to enter the Phone Number menu page. Enter the required dial-up telephone number with the appropriate Country/region code, Area code, and Phone number. Tap on Finish to complete the configuration.

8.The Dial-Up Networking screen should show your new connection with the dial-up icon.
