
Specifying a Destination

Specify the alias telephone number of the receiving ma- chine.
Example: 0311119999 (alias tele- phone number)
Example: 9999 (ID number)

Specify the G3 fax telephone number of the receiving ma- chine.

❒When you specify a host name, de- pending on the receiver’s network configuration, you may need to specify the host name and port number of the receiving machine. For example, if the receiver’s host name is “tokyo.abc.co.jp”and the port number is “2100”, specify “to- kyo.abc.co.jp”. Ask the network administrator for details.
❒An alias telephone number is a tel- ephone number available in the network registered in the gate- keeper.

Registering Entered Destinations to the Address Book
You can register a fax number,
When registering a destination directly entered or displayed on the Redial screen in the Address Book, [ProgDest] appears in the destination field.

❒Depending on security settings, [ProgDest] may not be displayed, and not be registered.
❒When you press the {Facsimile} key after changing the contents of the Address Book, the “Destina- tion list/machine settings are up- dated. Selected destination or function settings have been cleared. Please reselect the set- tings.” message appears. Press [Ex- it]. The standby display appears.
