Formatting the Memory Stick
✤You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely delete all images and options on the Memory Stick,
including protected images.
✤The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial states.
✤The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has been formatted already.

Formateado de un Memory Stick
✤Para eliminar por completo las imágenes y las opciones del Memory Stick se pueden emplear las funciones MEMORY FORMAT (formato de memoria).
✤La función Formato restablece el Memory Stick a su estado original.
✤El Memory Stick que se suministra junto con la videocámara ya está formateado.
Atención
✤If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function, all images will be erased completely and erased images cannot be recovered.
1.Set the mode switch to MEMORY STICK.
2.Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.
3.Press the MENU button.
4.Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY and press the ENTER button.
■ The sub menu will appear.
5.Select FORMAT from the list and press the ENTER button.
6.“ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?” appears on the screen.
7.Using the MENU DIAL, select the item. ■ NO : To return to previous menu
■ YES : To start formatting.
8.Press the ENTER button.
9.To exit the menu, press the MENU button.
✤Si ejecuta la función MEMORY FORMAT, todas las imágenes se borran y no se pueden recuperar.
1.Ajuste el interruptor de modalidad en MEMORY STICK.
2.Ajuste el interruptor de la videocámara en la modalidad PLAYER.
3.Pulse el botón MENÚ.
4.Gire el DIAL MENÚ hasta resaltar MEMORY y después pulse el botón ENTER.
■ Aparecerá el submenú.
5.Seleccione en la lista la opción FORMAT y pulse el botón ENTER.
6.Aparecerá en la pantalla la señal: “ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?” (¡Todos los archivos están borrados! ¿Está seguro de que desea formatear?)
7.Seleccione la opción por medio del DIAL MENÚ. ■ NO: Se regresa al menú anterior.
■ YES (sí): Comienza el formateado.
8.Pulse el botón ENTER.
9.Para salir del menú, pulse el botón MENÚ.

■ “Memory stick” formatted on the PC with the USB adaptor (not supplied) do not have a guaranteed compatibility with this camcorder.
