1.Approved for connection to telecommunication systems, specified in the instructions. For use subject to the conditions set out in the instructions.

This apparatus has been approved for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) provided by British Telecommunications P.L.C., and the Hull City Telephone Department.

2.The equipment is approved for connection to the PSTN or compatible PBX which supports DTMF or Loop Disconnect signalling.

3.This apparatus has been designed for use of the following: DTMF and Loop Disconnect signalling

-Auto Dialling

-Auto Answering

-Series Connection

-Call Progress Monitor

Any other usage will invalidate the approval of the apparatus if, as a result, it then ceases to comply with the standard against which the approval was granted.

4.The connection to the telecommunications system must be unplugged before the earth is disconnected. The connection to the telecommunication system must not be hard wired.

5.This apparatus is not suitable as an extension to a pay phone, for use on shared service lines, or for use on 1+1 carrier systems.

6.Ringer Equivalence Number (REN)

Every telephone or item of apparatus to be connected to the PSTN will have a REN. The maximum REN that you may have on any one line is 4. The REN of the SF4500 is 1. Any Terminal Equipment (TE) not marked with a REN is assumed to have a REN of 1.

7.Correct programming of stored numbers should be checked after initial programming or loss of power.

8.Make sure you have plugged in the machine.

9.When the external power source is disabled, the apparatus is not capable of indicating incoming calls.
