Location Settings

The settings allow you to turn the Assisted GPS chipset in the cell phone to “Allow” or “Deny.” Setting location to On lets the network detect the cell phone’s geographic location using Assisted GPS, making some features easier to use. Setting location to Off disables Assisted GPS, but some features may still detect the cell phone’s whereabouts using cell tower technology. Assisted GPS is automatically set to On when an emergency call is placed, then set back to Off when the call is completed.

To set the Location Menu toALLOW or DENY:

1.Select > Settings > Location > On/Off.

2.Read the disclaimer and press OK (left softkey).

3.Select On or Off.

Tip: When the Location feature is on, your phone’s standby screen will display the icon. When Location is turned off, the icon will be displayed.

You can send the log received from the GPS applications to other devices via Bluetooth or USB.

To send the GPS log to other devices:

1.Select > Settings > Location > NMEA Output.

2.Select Bluetooth, USB, or Off.
