9. Voice Services

Using Voice-Activated Dialing

You can use a voice dial tag to automatically dial a phone number in your Contacts. Your phone can store up to 30 voice dial tags.

Note: Please set the Voice Prompt feature (see page 31) to On before using the Voice-Activated Dialing so that you can hear the voice instruction from the phone. The default setting is Off.

Making a Call Using Voice-Activated Dialing

With the phone open:

1.Press and hold Using Voice-Activated Dialing, Making a Call Using Voice-Activated Dialing, or Programming Voice Dial Tag to Your Phone.

2.Follow the voice prompts and recite the entry’s voice dial tag into your phone’s microphone.

With the phone closed:

1.Press and hold Manual background.

2.Follow the system prompts and recite the entry’s voice dial tag into your phone’s microphone.

Note: To use this feature, you must have stored entries for voice dialing (see “Programming Voice Dial Tag to Your Phone” below).

Programming Voice Dial Tag to Your Phone

1.From the Contacts list display, select a Contacts entry to which you want to add a voice dial tag and press Manual backgroundManual backgroundManual background .

2.Press Options (right softkey) > Set Voice Tag > Add.

3.The phone will prompt you to say the name you want to program. Wait for the beep and then say the name.

4Respond to the prompt by repeating the name after the beep. (The display shows “Voice Tag Recorded”.)

If you set a voice dial tag, the Manual background icon is shown next to the phone number on the Contacts list.

Note: Record voice dial tags in a quiet environment and without the aid of an accessory.
