Erase function can be used to eliminate shadow lines around the edges and the center part of copies as shown in the illustrations, which are caused when such originals as thick paper, books or bound documents are used. 3 patterns of erase function, EDGE ERASE, CENTER ERASE and EDGE+CENTER ERASE can be selected.

●The standard erase width is 1/2", but can be changed from 0" to 1" in 1/8" increments.
