Changing the handset PIN

The PIN (personal identification number) for your handset can have up to 8 digits. The factory default for the handset PIN is 4 x "0". Changing the PIN prevents unauthorised persons from clearing entries from your directory, for ex- ample.

Once "Change PIN" has been confirmed, you are request- ed to enter the current PIN.

Enter the new PIN and note carefully the number en- tered.

Re-enter the new PIN to confirm.

Store the new PIN. The message "New PIN stored!" ap- pears on the screen.

Incorrect entries can be modified. Do do this, follow the input function rules described from ➔ page 37.

If you forget your base code or PIN

When entering a new base code or PIN, you must not for- get the number entered. Otherwise, it may be necessary to open up the device. If this happens, please contact the manufacturer (for call number, see ➔ page 94 of these op- erating instructions).
