2.9.2.Client Bridge Mode (Non-WDS)

The sB3416-03 can also be configured to operate in the non-WDS Bridge Mode. It is said to be operating in the Client Bridge mode in this configuration. The airClient TOTAL can associate with any Access Point in this bridge mode. The Client Bridge mode can be configured for both Non-Transparent and Transparent bridging. In Non-Transparent bridging, you can connect more than 1 device behind the airClient TOTAL unit. In Transparent bridging, only a single device can be connected behind the airClient TOTAL unit.

Find below all the settings that need to be done in both Client Bridge Modes.

Non-Transparent Bridging (MAC Translation)

This configuration supports multiple devices behind the airClient TOTAL sB3416 device.

System Configuration

Follow the steps below to configure the sB3416-03 unit for Non-Transparent Bridging –

1.From the navigation menu bar, click on Tools System Configuration.

2.In the Current Operational Mode, click on IP Mux Enable radio button.. (Note: This button selection will disable the Remote AP MAC Address and Channel fields in the Wireless Settings of the Bridge mode, as covered in Radio Settings below, and Fig 2-17).

3.Click on Save to save the changes. The settings will be applied after the reboot.
