Searching for a Title/ Chapter/Track
You can search a DVD disc by title or chapter, and you can search a CD by track. As titles and tracks are assigned unique numbers on the disc, you can select the desired one by entering its number. Or, you can search for a scene using the time code.

When using the remote set DECK A/B select to DECK A.

1 Press DVD DISPLAY.
The Control Menu appears.
2 Press X/x to select the search method.
xWhen playing a DVD
1 (TITLE), 1 (CHAPTER),
or 0:16:57 (TIME)
Select TIME for TIME SEARCH.
xWhen playing a CD
1 (TRACK)
3 Press C/c or the number buttons to select the title, chapter, track, or scene number you want to search.
If you make a mistake
Cancel the number by pressing CLEAR, then select another number.
4 Press ENTER.
The recorder starts playback from the selected number.
To turn off the Control Menu
Press DVD DISPLAY.
To search for a scene using the time code (TIME SEARCH) (DVD only)
1 In Step 2, select 0:16:57 (TIME). The time display changes to
2 Input the time code using the number buttons, then press ENTER.
For example, to find the scene at
2 hours, 10 minutes, and 20 seconds after the beginning, just enter “2:10:20.”
Note
The title, chapter or track number displayed is the same number recorded on the disc.
