ToCreate an Administered Object Resource
Packagedwithin a resource adapter (connector module), an administered object provides
specializedfunctionality for an application. For example, an administered object might provide
accessto a parser that is specic to the resource adapter and its associated EIS. The object can be
administered;that is, it can be congured by an administrator. To congure the object, add
name-valueproperty pairs in the Create or Edit Admin Object Resource pages. When creating
anadministered object resource, associate the administered object to a JNDI name.
TheEnterprise Server implements JMS by using resource adapter. For each JMS destination
created,the Enterprise Server automatically creates an administered object resource.
Inthe tree component, expand the Resources node and then the Connectors node.
Expandthe Admin Object Resources node.
Onthe Admin Object Resources page, click New.
Onthe Admin Object Resources page, specify the following settings:
a. Inthe JNDI Name eld, type a unique name that identies the resource.
b. IntheResource Type eld, enter the Java type for the resource.
c. Fromthe Resource Adapter combo box, select the resource adapter that contains the
administeredobject.
d. Selector deselect the Status checkbox to enable or disable the resource.
e. Tocongurethe administered object with name-value propert y pairs,click Add Property.
f. Ifyou are using cluster prole, in theTargets section of the page, select the domain, cluster,
orserver instances where the administered object will reside, from the Availableeld and
clickAdd.
Toundeploy the administered object to one of the domains, clusters, or server instances
listedin the Selected eld, select it from the eld and click Remove.
