Before installing Norton AntiVirus, take a moment to review the system requirements.

System requirements

To use Norton AntiVirus, your computer must have one of the following supported Mac OS X operating system versions installed. It must also meet the minimum hardware and memory requirements.

1Macintosh OS X version 10.3, or later

1G3 processor or higher

1128 MB of RAM

140 MB of available hard disk space for installation

1Internet connection required for LiveUpdate

1CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive

Norton AntiVirus does not support Mac OS X versions earlier than 10.3. If you want to install Norton AntiVirus on Mac OS X, you must upgrade to Mac OS X 10.3, or a later version.
