The Video Input Matrix
The video input matrix is found a t the rear side of the codec and
illustrates the combinations in w hich the video inputs can b e
connected.
About the matrix
Only one video input source fr om each row can be active at any time.
The numbers in the left colum n represents the Video In put Sources
1–5. The main connectors, which a re used in basic setup, are marke d
in orange color.
The Comp. 5 and S-Video (YC) 5 input s uses the same physical
connectors and can not be conne cted at the same time.
Configure the video inputs
You can configure the video input setti ngs from the Administrator
Settings menu or by running API commands.
The default configurations are s hown below:
What connectors are active is deter mined by the configuration of
the video input connector set tings:
Video Input Source 1 Connecto r: HDMI•
Video Input Source 2 Connecto r: HDMI•
Video Input Source 3 Connecto r: DVI•
Video Input Source 4 Connecto r: HDMI•
Video Input Source 5 Connecto r: DVI•
The video name of the connector i nputs should be set:
Video Input Source 1 Name: “M ain Camera“•
Video Input Source 2 Name: “S econdary Camera“•
Video Input Source 3 Name: “P C“•
Video Input Source 4 Name: “DV D“•
Video Input Source 5 Name: “D ocument Camera“•
The video quality of the conn ector inputs should be set:
Video Input Source 1 Qualit y: Motion•
Video Input Source 2 Qualit y: Motion•
Video Input Source 3 Qualit y: Sharpness•
Video Input Source 4 Qualit y: Motion•
Video Input Source 5 Qualit y: Sharpness•
To determine the main video source and th e default presentation
source for the system the following set ting must be configured :
Video MainVideoSource: 1•
Video DefaultPresentation Source: 3•
* Comp 5 and YC 5 are not supported in ve rsion 1
Administrator settings
Open the menu on screen to configur e the video input sources
and which of the sources should b e the main video source and
the default presentation sourc e.
If the system is in standby mode, press an y key on the remote
control to wake up the system.
Select: Settings > Administr ator Settings > Advanced 1.

API commands
Open a telnet or ftp session to the c odec to issue an API command to
configure the video input sourc es and which of the sources s hould be the
main video source and the defau lt presentation source.
The following commands deter mines which connector to be a ctive:
xconfiguration video input source 1 con nector: hdmi•
xconfiguration video input source 2 con nector: hdmi•
xconfiguration video input source 3 con nector: dvi•
xconfiguration video input source 4 con nector: hdmi•
xconfiguration video input source 5 con nector: dvi•
