to a reduction in pollution, and there by helps save
the environment. Our products red uce the need for
travel and transport and there by reduce pollution.

Digital User Guides
TANDBERG is pleased to announce that we have
replaced the printed versions of o ur user guides
with digital versions availab le on the TANDBERG
web site: http://www.tandberg.com/docs. The
environmental benefits of this a re significant. The
user guides can still be printed l ocally, whenever
needed.
European Environment al Directives
As a manufacturer of electric al and electronic
equipment TANDBERG is responsibl e for
compliance with the requirem ents in the European
Directives 2002/96/ EC (WEEE - Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment) an d 2002/95/EC
(RoHS).
The primary aim of the WEEE Dire ctive and RoHS
Directive is to reduce the impact of di sposal of
electrical and electroni c equipment at end-of-life.
The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the a mount
of waste electrical and electro nic equipment sent
for disposal to landfill or incine ration by requiring
producers to arrange for colle ction and recycling.
The RoHS Directive bans the use of ce rtain heavy
metals and brominated flame retar dants to reduce
the environmental impact of WEEE wh ich is in
landfill or incinerated.
TANDBERG has implemented necess ary process
changes to comply with the Europe an WEEE
Directive (2002/96/ EC) and the European RoH S
Directive (2002/95/E C).
Waste Handling
In order to avoid the dissemination of h azardous
substances in our environme nt and to diminish the
pressure on natural resource s, we encourage you
to use the appropriate recycling syste ms in your
area. Those systems will reuse or re cycle most
of the materials of your end of life equip ment in a
sound way.
TANDBERG products put on the market afte r
August 2005 are marked with a cross ed-out
wheelie bin symbol that invites y ou to use
those take-back systems.
