Guidelines for the high end meeting room
For high end team collaboration r ooms, team meeting rooms and
showroom floor.

General recommendations for the room layout

To fully utilize the telepresence expe rience there are some gui delines
you should consider.

The distance between the table a nd the video system

If the monitor is a 65” full HD LCD display this req uires 2–2,5 m / •
78–98 inch distance to the tabl e to allow all participants to se e a
clear picture on screen
Make sure all participants are c overed within the camera an gle, •
which at maximum zoom out is 72°
Adjust the camera view (usin g zoom in/out) to allow the •
participants to be shown in full s ize on screen, and to keep eye
contact with each other at the same e ye level
The camera should capture all p articipants in the room•
If the participants are sittin g too close to the monitor the came ra •
will “look down” at the participa nts. This may not give a good
presentation of the particip ants at the far end.

The speaker module

There should be free sight bet ween the system speaker mod ule •
and the ear of the participants.

The microphones

The microphones should be eve nly distributed on the tabl e•
Avoid positions where they can be hi dden behind obstacles l ike •
laptop or other equipment place d on the table
Do not place a microphone close to powe r outlets or similar •
arrangements on the table. Th e microphone may pick up noi se
from these arrangements qui te strongly.
