Introduction
Safety Instructions
For your protection please read the se safety
instructions completely befo re you connect the
equipment to the power source. Caref ully observe
all warnings, precautions an d instructions both on
the apparatus and in these opera ting instructions.
Retain this manual for future refe rence.
Water and Moisture
Do not operate the apparatus under o r near water –
for example near a bathtub, kitchen si nk, or laundry
tub, in a wet basement, near a swimming po ol or in
other areas with high humidit y.
Never install jacks for communi cation cables •
in wet locations unless the jack is s pecifically
designed for wet locations.
Do not touch the product with wet hands.•
Cleaning
Unplug the apparatus from comm unication lines,
mains power-outlet or any power source b efore
cleaning or polishing. Do not us e liquid cleaners
or aerosol cleaners. Use a lint-free c loth lightly
moistened with water for cleanin g the exterior of
the apparatus.
Ventilation
Do not block any of the ventilation ope nings of the
apparatus. Never cover the slots and o penings with
a cloth or other material. Never instal l the apparatus
near heat sources such as radi ators, heat registers,
stoves, or other apparatus (inclu ding amplifiers)
that produce heat.
Do not place the product in direct su nlight or close
to a surface directly heated by the su n.
Lightning
Never use this apparatus, or conne ct/disconnect
communication cables or powe r cables during
lightning storms.
Dust
Do not operate the apparatus in area s with high
concentration of dust.
Vibration
Do not operate the apparatus in area s with
vibration or place it on an unstab le surface.
Power Connection and Haz ardous
Voltage
The product may have hazardous vo ltage inside.
Never attempt to open this product, or a ny •
peripherals connected to the p roduct, where
this action requires a tool.
This product should always be powe red from •
an earthed power outlet.
Never connect attached powe r supply cord to •
other products.
In case any parts of the product has v isual •
damage never attempt to connect ma in power,
or any other power source, before consu lting
service personnel
The plug connecting the power co rd to the •
product/power supply ser ves as the main
disconnect device for this eq uipment. The
power cord must always be easily acc essible.
Route the power cord so as to avoid it being •
walked on or pinched by items placed u pon or
against it. Pay particular atten tion to the plugs,
receptacles and the point whe re the cord exits
from the apparatus.
Do not tug the power cord.•
If the provided plug does not fit into your o utlet, •
consult an electrician.
Never install cables, or any per ipherals, without •
first unplugging the device fro m its power
source.
Servicing
Do not attempt to service the appa ratus •
yourself as opening or removi ng covers may
expose you to dangerous voltages o r other
hazards, and will void the warra nty. Refer all
servicing to qualified ser vice personnel.
Unplug the apparatus from its powe r source •
and refer servicing to qualifi ed personnel under
the following conditions:
If the power cord or plug is damaged or •
frayed.
If liquid has been spilled into the a pparatus.•
If objects have fallen into the appar atus. •
If the apparatus has been expose d to rain •
or moisture
If the apparatus has been subje cted to •
excessive shock by being droppe d.
If the cabinet has been damage d.•
If the apparatus seems to be overhea ted. •
If the apparatus emits smoke or abno rmal •
odor.
If the apparatus fails to operate in •
accordance with the operating i nstructions.
Accessories
Use only accessories spec ified by the
manufacturer, or sold with the apparat us.
Communication Lines
Do not use communication equip ment to report a
gas leak in the vicinity of the le ak.
IMPORTANT!
There should always be a distanc e of minimum
10 cm (0.33 ft) free space in the front of th e codec.

Make sure the Codec
C90 never rest on
the front panel.
