Recording a source

You can record a source onto a CD or a cassette tape connected to
the DIGITAL OUT terminal or the LINE OUT jacks.
1. Select a source to be recorded by pressing the SOURCE button.
2. Start recording.
< T he volume, and tone control (DVS, LOUDNESS and TONE) have no
effect on the recording signals.

Dimmer

Press the DIMMER button to dim the display.
Press the button again to cancel the dimmer function.

Muting

To mute the sound temporarily, p ress the MUTING button. Press
the MUTING button again to restore the sound.
< “MU TING” blinks on the display while muting is engaged.
< I f you change the volume when the sound is mut ed, it will be
unmuted.

Adjusting the bass and treble

You can change the bass and treble sound between “–5” to “+5”.
1 If t he LOUDN ESS funct ion is on, pre ss t he LOUDN ESS
button to turn it off.
< When the LOUDNESS function is on, th e bass and treble sound
level automatically set to “0”.

3 Press th e V OLUME bu tton s t o adjus t t he soun d l evel
within 5 seconds.
The higher the treble numb er, the more the high frequencies
are emphasized.
The higher the bass number, the more the low frequencies are
emphasized.
