To compensate passive probes to ensure maximum distortion-free input to the
instrument and to avoid high frequency amplitude errors, use the procedure that
follows.

Prerequisites 1. Instrument should be powered on. Allow a 20 minute
warm up.
See page 3--34 for acquisition setup and Power on the
Instrument on page 1--9.
Use adapter;
CSA7404,
CSA7154,
TDS7404,
TDS7254, and
TDS7154
2. If your probe is a 1 M Ohm probe without a TCA
interface, connect it to the instrument using a
TCA-1MEG adapter.

3. Connect fixture to the instrument (see To Connect Probe
Calibration Fixture on page 3--173).
4. Connect one probe to the fixture.
5. Push the AUTOSET button on the instrument.
6. Adjust the probe compensation box for best square
corner:

7. Remove the connections.
