Connecting in Wi-Fi Mode the first time: Access MiFi Settings
Overview$
After VZAcce ss Manager and the device drive rs have been installe d on your computer, you
may elect to use the MiFi 2200 in WiFi mode.
The Web-based User Interface (short ened to Web UI in most of this document ) is used to
configure the Mi Fi 2200 whi le it is in “Wi-Fi” mode . In this mode, there i s no USB connection
from your host computer to the MiFi 2200 , and the connection to the MiFi 2200 must be made
via Wi-Fi.

Note: The battery must be fully charged in order to use the MiFi 2200 in Wi-Fi mode
for the first time. (See Page 13 Setup: Wi-Fi Modem: Battery Use).

When you connect the MiFi 2200 in Wi-Fi mode, the following should occur once you press
the power button:
• The MiFi 2200 i s powered as soon as you press the power button and the Power LED light s
up.
• Once the Mi Fi 2200 is power ed and has been activated, it automatic ally connects to the
Internet provided that Mobil e Broadband / NationalAccess ser vice is available and one or
more Wi-Fi devices are connected wit h MiFi.
• The 3G Status LED indicator on the device lights up and blinks according the connect ion
speed.
