Troubleshooting
If you have difculty operat ing your phone, the suggestions below s hould solve the problem. If you still have dif culty after

Problem Suggestion
My phone doesn’t
work at all
• Make sure th e power cord is plugged in
• Make sure t he telephone line cord is plugg ed rmly into the base unit and the te lephone wall
jack
• Disc onnect the AC adaptor for a few minutes, and then r econnect it
• Charge the batter y in the handset for at least 16 hours For optimum daily performance, return
the handset to its base when not in u se
• Reset the base Unplug th e unit’s electrical power Wait for 15 seconds then plug it back in
Allow up to one minute for the hands et and base to reset
• You may need to pur chase a new battery, please refer to t he Batteries section of this user’s
manual
I cannot get a dial
tone
• Try all the sugg estions above
• Move the han dset closer to the base You might have moved out of range
• Your line cord migh t be malfunctioning Try installing a new li ne cord
• If the prev ious suggestions don’t work, d isconnect the base unit from th e telephone jack and
connect a different p hone If there is no dial tone on t hat phone either, the problem is in your
wiring or local servi ce Contact your local telephone co mpany
