Automatic tuning

Automatic tuning is effective when the radio station signals are strong and there is no interference.

1Set the operation mode selector to TV/AV.

2Press FM/XM repeatedly to select FM as the input source.

“FM” appears in the front panel display.

You can also press INPUT on the front panel repeatedly to select FM as the input source.

If “XM” appears in the front panel display, press FM/XM again to display “FM”.

3Press SEARCH repeatedly until the AUTO indicator lights up in the front panel display.

No colon (:)

 

 

If a colon (:) appears in the front panel display, tuning is not available. Press PRESET/TUNE to turn the colon (:) off.

FM tuning

4Press ENTRY 1Set the operation mode selector to TV/AV. (8 8 . 9/M H z) once to begin automatic tuning.

When this unit is tuned into an FM station, the TUNED indicator lights up and the frequency of the station appears in the front panel display.

Press 4Press ENTRY  (/) once to begin automatic tuning. to tune into a higher frequency.

Press Manual tuning to tune into a lower frequency.

Manual tuning

If the desired FM station signal is weak, tune into it manually.

Note

Manual tuning automatically switches the tuner to the monaural reception mode to increase the signal quality.
