14 Troubleshooting

This chapter contains some problems you may run into when using your Prestige. After each problem description, we have provided some instructions to help you diagnose and solve the problem.

Problems Starting Up the Prestige

None of the LEDs are on when you power up the Prestige

Check the power cord and the power supply and make sure it is properly connected to your Prestige. If the error persists you may have a hardware problem. In this case you should contact technical support.

Connecting the RS-232 cable, cannot access the SMT

Check to see if your Prestige is connected to your computer’s serial port.

Check to see if the communications program is configured correctly. The communications software should be configured as follows:

VT100 terminal emulation.

9600 Baud rate.

No parity, 8 Data bits, 1 Stop bit.
