Troubleshooting

This chapter covers problems you may run into and possible remedies. After each problem description, some instructions are provided to help you diagnose and solve the problem.

14.1 Problems Starting Up the Prestige

None of the LEDs are on when you turn on the Prestige

Make sure that you have the correct AC adapter and that is plugged in and connected to the Prestige.

If the error persists, you may have a hardware problem. In this case you should contact your vendor.

14.2 Problems Telnetting into the Prestige

Can’t access the Prestige through

Check the LAN port and the other Ethernet connections.

Check your computer’s IP address, it should be in the same subnet

 

 

as the Prestige.

 

 

 

Use the reset button as follows to restore the IP address to

 

192.168.1.1, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, DHCP server to active

 

with addresses starting at 192.168.1.33 and the password to 1234.

 

Turn the Prestige off. Use a pointed object to push the RESET

 

button while you turn the Prestige back on. Keep the RESET button

 

pressed for one minute.

 

 

 

Make sure your computer is set to get a dynamic IP address; or if

 

you want to use a static IP address on your computer, make sure

 

that it is on the same subnet as the Prestige.
