Multicast

IGMP (Internet Group Multicast Protocol) is a session-layer

protocol used to establish membership in a Multicast group. The

P645R supports both IGMP version 1 (IGMP-v1) and version 2

 

 

 

(IGMP-v2). Press the [SPACE BAR] to enable IP Multicasting or

 

 

 

select None (default) to disable it.

 

 

IP Policies

You can apply up to four IP Policy sets (from twelve) by entering

 

 

1,2,7,8

 

 

their numbers separated by commas. None are applied by default.

 

 

Edit IP

The P645R supports three logical LAN interfaces via its single

alias

physical Ethernet interface with the P645R itself as the gateway

 

 

 

for each LAN network. Press the [SPACE BAR] to select Yes, then

 

 

 

press [ENTER] to display menu 3.2.1

 

 

 

 

 

When you have completed this menu, press [ENTER] at the prompt [Press ENTER to Confirm…] to save your configuration, or press [ESC] at any time to cancel.

3.4.1 IP Alias Setup

Use menu 3.2 to configure the first network. Move the cursor to the Edit IP Alias field, press [SPACE BAR] to choose Yes and press [ENTER] to configure the second and third networks.
