BATTERY HANDLING

Use two CR2016 lithium coin batteries to power the equipment.

Be sure to use the batteries properly. Improper use may result in fluid leak, heat generation or damage of the batteries. When replacing batteries, insert them correctly with respect to the +/- polarity.

If the + or - pole of a battery is stained with sweat, oil or grease, contact failure may result. Wipe batteries well with a dry cloth before use.

It is recommended to bring spare brand-new batteries when going on a long journey, particularly overseas. The batteries may be hard to obtain in some countries.

To prevent burns or injuries due to fluid leak, heat generation, ignition, battery explosion, be sure to observe the following.

Do not short-circuit the + and - poles of a battery through a wire, etc. Also do not carry or store the batteries near any metallic object such as a necklace or hair pin.

Do not throw a battery into a fire or heat it.

Do not nail, hammer or step on a battery.

In general, the performance of a battery degrades when the temperature decreases. When the Floppydisk Adapter is used in a cold place, keep it warm by carrying it inside your clothing. Performance will return to normal under normal temperatures.
