Activate Do Not Disturb for a Group of Rooms

A typical application of this procedure is applying Do Not Disturb to a group of conference rooms where meetings are in session during the day, and the attendees do not want to be disturbed with telephone calls.

! CAUTION:

If you use this feature, be sure that you understand which rooms are in a particular COR. Since this feature is controlled by the COR, all telephones in the same COR will have Do Not Disturb applied. This could lead to guest service problems if not applied correctly. Another way to restrict groups of telephones is by using the Controlled Restrictions feature (refer to page 38).

To add or change a Do Not Disturb request, perform the following:

1.Press the DND GROUP button.

The DND Group lamp goes on.

The following displays:

DO NOT DIST - Group:

2.Using the dial keypad, enter the group’s 2-digit Class of Restriction (COR) and press the # button.

The following displays:

DO NOT DIST - Group: <COR> Time:

If a Do Not Disturb request already exists for the group, the time field will be filled in.

3.Enter the time when the Do Not Disturb period is to end (the cancellation time) in the 4-digit hh:mm format (hour:minute).

If you entered a time between 13:00 and 00:59, the following displays:

DO NOT DIST - Group: <COR> Time: <hh:mm>

Go to Step 5.

If you entered a time between 01:00 and 12:59, the following displays:

DO NOT DIST - Group: <COR> Time: <hh:mm> -M

4.Press the 2 button for a.m., or press the 7 button for p.m.

The display now shows an AM or PM designator.
