Recording stops automatically when the selected track finishes playing.

When recording finishes, the "CD-R/RW REC" indicator disappears in the display.

To stop recording before the end of the CD

Press s. Recording stops.

To stop play of the CD, press s again.

To record on a previously recorded CD-R or CD-RW

If there is an unrecorded section left on the CD-R or CD-RW, the new recording automatically starts from where the previous recording finished. If you want to start recording from the beginning of a previously recorded CD-RW, erase the previous recording completely. (See page 24.)

1Load a CD-R or CD-RW in the CD-R/CD-RW player/

recorder.

Load the disc with the label side up. To open or close the disc tray, press z CD-R/RW OPEN/CLOSE.

2Press CD and load a CD to be recorded in the CD

player.

Press the PUSH EJECT z position to open the disc compartment and load the disc with the label side up. Then close the disc compartment.

Wait until the unit finishes reading the loaded discs. (Make sure the "CD-R" or "CD-RW" indicator lights up, and the total number of tracks and total playing time of the CD are displayed.)

3In stop mode, press PROGRAM while pressing SHIFT so that "PRGM" appears on the display.

4Press the numbered buttons and +10 to program

a track.

Example:

To select the 12th track, press +10 and 2.

Press DISPLAY on the main unit or press DISPLAY while pressing SHIFT on the remote control. (See page 31 for details.)

NOTE

You can change from auto finalizing recording to manual finalizing En by pressing MANUAL. F before recording is completed.

To do the opposite, similarly press AUTO.F (RW).
