Envelope Stop Position

This function lets you adjust the position where the Outer Envelope is held, waiting for material to be placed into it. It is accessed by running a Trial Piece and replying ‘No’ when asked if the Trial Piece is OK.

This adjustment will only be needed in unusual situations where material is not being placed fully into the envelope, or is being driven too far, causing damage to the envelope or material.

The Envelope Stop has five positions...

0Standard setting for normal weight material.

-1,-2Places the material further into the mailing envelope, which may be useful for light or thin material.

+1, +2 Reduces how far the material goes into the envelope, which may be useful for thicker or heavier material.

After carrying out this adjustment, you will be offered two options:

1.You can save the adjustment as part of the current Job Definition so that it is automatically recalled in future. This requires

a Supervisor Access Code to be entered because the Job Definition is being edited.

2.You can run the current job with the adjustment applied temporarily. Once a new Job Definition is selected, or if power is turned off, this temporary adjustment will be lost.

When the Envelope Stop is set to any position other than its standard (0) position, a warning icon showing the modified setting will be displayed beneath the Machine Graphic.
