USING VOICE CARRY

OVER (VCO)

What is VCO?

VCO stands for “Voice Carry Over.” Ultratec developed this technology to allow you to use your own voice during a conversation. You speak using a telephone and read responses using your Superprint Pro80 LVD. VCO calls can be made directly between two TTY users or placed through your Relay service.

WHAT IS REQUIRED?

You will need:

Superprint Pro80 LVD connected to a telephone (see “Connecting Power & Phone Line” on page 9).

The person you are calling (or who calls you) will need one of the following:

A telephone if the call is placed through a Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS).

Other TTY and a telephone both directly connected to the same phone line.

Other TTY with acoustic cups and a telephone.
