*3 • Select "On" or "Off" to determine whether or not to apply the VD2 synchronization method for the con- nected camera. When a camera not supporting the VD2 synchronization method is connected, select "Off" for "VD2".

*4 • Select "On" to control cameras with the coaxial communication.

*6 • It is possible to compensate for the video signal transmission loss from the camera.

*7 • The following cable length settings are references when using RG-59/U, BELDEN 9259 (for NTSC mod- els), 5C-2V (for PAL models) or equivalent cables.

S: Less than 400 m {1 300 ft.}

M:400 m {1 300 ft.} to 700 m {2 300 ft.}

L:700 m {2 300 ft.} to 1 200 m {4 000 ft.}

*8 • When cameras with the different RS-485 protocols (for example, cameras manufactured by Panasonic and those manufactured by Pelco, Inc.) in the same RS-485 communication line, the cameras will not work correctly.
