4.2.11.4 Removing the Right Sub Frame Assembly

1.

Remove the printer cover, front and rear edge guide assemblies, front

 

cover, paper eject assembly, and front and rear tractor units. (See

 

section 4.2.1.)

2.

Remove the panel board assembly. (See section 4.2.2.)

3.

Remove the upper housing assembly. (See section 4.2.7.)

IMPORTANT

TThe tightening torque for the CBS screws (3 × 6 and 3 × 8) is 0.78 - 0.98 Nm (8 - 10 Kgf-cm).

Adjust the bidirectional print alignment. (See Chapter 5.)

4.

Remove the printer mechanism. (See section 4.2.11.)

5.

Remove the PF motor assembly. (See section 4.2.11.2.)

6.

Remove the two CBS screws (3 × 6 and 3 × 8) securing the right sub

 

frame.

7.

Remove the right sub frame from the right frame.

4.2.11.5 Removing the Right Frame Assembly

1.Remove the printer cover, front and rear edge guide assemblies, front cover, paper eject assembly, and front and rear tractor units. (See section 4.2.1.)

2.Remove the panel board assembly. (See section 4.2.2.)

3.Remove the upper housing assembly. (See section 4.2.7.)

4.Remove the printer mechanism. (See section 4.2.11.)

5.Remove the platen assembly. (See section 4.2.8.)

6.Remove the PG sensor assembly. (See section 4.2.11.3.)

7.Remove the right sub frame assembly. (See section 4.2.11.4.)

8.Remove the hexagonal nut (M4) securing the gap adjust lever. Then remove the lever from the right frame assembly.

9.Remove the CBS screw (3 × 6) securing the platen cover to the right frame assembly.

10.Remove the two CBS screws (3 × 6) securing the right frame assembly at the positions shown in Figure 4-26.

11.Remove the right frame assembly.
