10. Multi-unit Operation

3.Cordless handset 1:

When finished talking, press {ih} or place the cordless handset on the charger.

Base unit:

When finished talking, press {SP-PHONE}, {INTERCOM} or replace the handset.

Example: When the base unit calls cordless handset 1

1.Base unit:

Press {INTERCOM}, then press {1} (desired cordless handset number).

L The cordless handset 1 will ring.

L To page all cordless handsets, press {0}. You can talk with the cordless handset user who answers first.

L To stop paging, press {INTERCOM} again.

2.Cordless handset 1:

Press {INT}, {C} or {s} to answer.

3.Base unit:

When finished talking, press {SP-PHONE}, {INTERCOM} or replace the handset.

Cordless handset 1:

When finished talking, press {ih}.

Note:

L If the cordless handset user has difficulty hearing the base unit user, ask the base unit user to decrease the speaker volume by pressing {B}.

10.4Transferring calls / Conference calls

Outside calls can be transferred to the base unit or to a cordless handset.

2 people can have a conference call with an outside party.

10.4.1From a cordless handset to the base unit

Example: When cordless handset 1 transfers a call to the base unit

1.Cordless handset 1:

During an outside call, press {INT} and {0} to page the base unit.

L The outside call will be put on hold.

L If there is no answer, press {INT} to return to the outside call.

2.Base unit:

Press {INTERCOM}, {SP-PHONE}or lift the handset to answer.

L The base unit user can talk with cordless handset 1 user.

3.Cordless handset 1:

To complete the call transfer, press {ih}. To establish a conference call, press {3}.
