To switch the fax tones on and off

Your machine will automatically play dialling tones and fax connection tones over the loudspeaker so that you can hear the progress of the call. You can switch the tones on and off.

Press until the display shows

Press until the display shows LINE

MONITOR: ON

Press to switch between ON and OFF. If you select OFF, you will not hear the dialling and fax connection tones.

Press to confirm the option displayed.

To adjust the loudspeaker volume

While the machine is in standby

Display shows TYPE NUMBER.

Press to raise or lower the volume.

To adjust the volume of the buzzer

Press until the display shows FAX SET-UPDisplay shows DATE AND TIME

Display shows VARIOUS SETTINGS

Press until the display shows BUZZER VOL.LOW

Press to switch between HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW and OFF.

Press to confirm the option displayed.

To return to standby.

To adjust the speed a fax is sent at

Your PaperJet 65 is set to send faxes at 14400bps. If you consistently fail to send faxes to a particular number it might help to reduce the transmission speed to 4800bps.

Press until the display shows TX SPEED 14.4

Press to switch between 14.4, 9.6 and 4.8.
