Accepting or Rejecting Messages From Senders in the List

You can choose to accept or reject messages from senders in the list. Follow the user parameter procedure on page 64 to enter the following settings.

Switch 08, bit 2

You have to set it "1"

Switch 08, bit 3

0:Accept calls from senders in the list of authorized senders.

1:Reject calls from senders in the list of authorized senders.

Hints for Using Authorized Reception

You must specify the sender’s identification code (their CSI or RTI, see page 87) which could be a little different from their phone number.

To get the other party’s identification, call and ask for their CSI or RTI code. Explain that you need the number programmed into their fax machine for identification purposes. Or, attempt a communication with their fax machine and print out a transaction confirmation report (function 41, see page 34). Read the identification under the RTI or CSI heading of the report.
