Talking Before Sending a Fax(On Hook Dial)

1Press the On Hook Dial key.

2Proceed as for a usual fax message but don’t press Start. (Do not use the handset).

3If you hear a voice from the machine’s built-in speaker, pick up the handset and speak to the other party.

If you hear a high-pitched tone instead of a voice, place your fax message in the auto document feeder, then press Start.

4When you are ready to send your fax message, place your message in the feeder, then ask the other party to press Start.

5When you hear a high-pitched tone, press Start.

6Replace the handset.
