Reference: Programming the Installer Remote

The Installer Remote can be programmed to operate most remote-controllable devices. Note that the Installer Remote may not control all models of other brands.

1.Test the remote to find out whether it can operate other components without programming. For exam- ple, turn ON a component such as a DVD player, and press the corresponding Mode button (DVD) on the remote, while pointing at the component. Test the POWER and Channel Up/Down buttons to see if the component responds correctly. If the component does not operate correctly, the remote control requires programming to operate the device. Continue with step 2.

2.Turn ON the component to be programmed, and then press the corresponding Mode button (DVD, VCR, etc.) on the remote.

3.Press MENU and MUTE simultaneously. The remote is now ready to be programmed with the code.

4.Enter a code number using the number buttons on the remote. Programming code numbers for the corresponding component can be found on the following pages. If the code is correct, the device will turn OFF.

5.Press MENU on the remote to store the code.

6.Test the remote control functions to see if the component responds correctly. If not, repeat from step 2.
