The position of the calibration microphone for Situation 1 (e.g. for the driver alone) is at the height of the driver’s head, approx. 10 centimetres next to the right ear.

For Situation 3, you should position the calibration microphone at head height in the centre of the vehicle interior (left/right, front/rear).

Really quiet surroundings are required for the calibration. Any extraneous noise will distort the measured values. lose all win- dows, doors, and the sliding sunroof during the calibration. You should be sitting in the driver's seat.
