Switching DSA on
To reactivate the equalizer,
press and hold the AUDIO button : for longer than two seconds.
The display shows the DSA menu.
Press the softkey 5 with the display label "USER EQ".
Select an equalizer setting.
Automatically calibrating the equalizer
You can perform and save electronic cali- brations for three different situations (not possible if crossover is set), e.g.:
EQ 1 For the driver alone
EQ 2 For the driver and front passenger EQ 3 For the front and rear occupants
Hold the microphone in the appropriate po- sition while the calibration is taking place.
The position of the calibration microphone for Situation 1 (e.g. for the driver alone) is at the height of the driver’s head, approx. 10 centimetres next to the right ear.
For Situation 2, the calibration microphone should be positioned at head height be- tween the driver and the front passenger.
For Situation 3, you should position the calibration microphone at head height in the centre of the vehicle interior (left/right, front/rear).
Really quiet surroundings are required for the calibration. Any extraneous noise will distort the measured values. lose all win- dows, doors, and the sliding sunroof during the calibration. You should be sitting in the driver's seat.
Note:
The sound radiating from the loud- speakers must not be obstructed by any objects. All the loudspeakers must be connected. The calibration micro- phone must be connected to the de- vice, the calibration of the equalizer should be performed before the DNC calibration.
To calibrate an equalizer,

Press the softkey 5 with the display label "USER EQ".
Press the softkey 5 with the display label of the equalizer
Press the softkey 5 with the display label "ADJUST".
Press the softkey 5 with the display label "AUTO ADJ".
A countdown is running on the display. Dur- ing this time, you can position the calibra- tion microphone. After the countdown ex- pires, the calibration is performed.
Use the same procedure for all equal- izers.
After the calibration is complete, the menu of the selected equalizer is displayed again.
