Entering a switch-on message

If you switch on the device, a brief message is shown on the display as scrolling text. This text is factory set to "BLAUPUNKT-THE ADVANTAGE IN YOUR CAR". Instead, you can enter your own text of up to 35 char- acters.

￿Press the MENU button 9.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "ON MSG".

The display shows the standard text for the switch-on message. The input mark is at the beginning of the line and flashing.

To input a different text,

￿press the joystick 8 left or right to move the input mark.

￿Set the desired letter by pushing the joystick 8up or down.

￿After entering the message, press the OK joystick 8or the MENU button 9 to exit the menu.

The settings are saved.

Displaying the serial number

You can display the serial number of the device.

￿Press the MENU button 9.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "SER NUM".

The serial number of the device is displayed in the top line of the display.

￿Press the OK joystick 8or the MENU button 9to exit the menu.

Resetting the device

You can reset the device to the factory-pre- set parameters. All personal settings are lost in the process.

￿Press the MENU button 9.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

￿Press and hold the softkey 5with the display label "NORMSET" for longer than two seconds.

The device switches off and automatically on again.
