Entering a switch-on message

If you switch on the device, a brief message is shown on the display as scrolling text. This text is factory set to "BLAUPUNKT-THE ADVANTAGE IN YOUR CAR". Instead, you can enter your own text of up to 35 char- acters.

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

Press the softkey 5 with the display label "ON MSG".

The display shows the standard text for the switch-on message. The input mark is at the beginning of the line and ﬂashing.

To input a different text,

press the joystick 8 left or right to move the input mark.

Set the desired letter by pushing the joystick 8up or down.

After entering the message, press the OK joystick 8or the MENU button 9 to exit the menu.

The settings are saved.

Displaying the serial number

You can display the serial number of the device.

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

Press the softkey 5 with the display label "SER NUM".

The serial number of the device is displayed in the top line of the display.

Press the OK joystick 8or the MENU button 9to exit the menu.

Resetting the device

You can reset the device to the factory-pre- set parameters. All personal settings are lost in the process.

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

Press and hold the softkey 5with the display label "NORMSET" for longer than two seconds.

The device switches off and automatically on again.
