Setting the low-pass filter

The low-pass filter allows you to define a frequency up to which the subwoofer will operate. All signals above the defined fre- quency are "cut off" and not passed on to the subwoofer.

You can select from the frequencies "40 Hz", "50 Hz", "63 Hz" and "100 Hz". If your subwoofer features a built-in low-pass filter, you can also select the setting "FLAT" and thereby forward all frequencies to the subwoofer.

Please adjust this setting to the frequency range and the capabilities of your subwoof- er. For further details, please read the doc- umentation of the subwoofer.

Setting the subsonic filter

To avoid interferences from extremely low frequencies, you can use the subsonic filter to limit the low-frequency response of the device. This is particularly useful for small subwoofers. The setting of the subsonic fil- ter suppresses all frequencies below the de- fined frequency. When setting the subsonic filter, you should orient yourself by means of the loudspeaker setup of your vehicle.

You can select from the frequencies "20 Hz", "25 Hz", "32 Hz" and "40 Hz". In addi- tion, you can set the quality factor "Q" for the selected frequency in five increments: "Q1"=0.5, "Q2"=0.7, "Q3"=0.9, "Q4"=1.1 and "Q5"=1.3.

If you select the setting "FLAT", the frequen- cy response of the device is not affected.

￿Press the AUDIO button :. "AUDIO MENU" appears on the display.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "SUBSONIC".
