Selecting a DNC increase

You can adjust the DNC increase, i.e. the sensitivity of the increase in volume and sound, in five increments.

The setting "DNC 1" is suitable for vehicles with loud engines and bass-loaded music. The setting "DNC 5" is suitable for vehicles with quiet engines and for classical music. You will need to test various settings to find the most suitable one for your taste.

To select a DNC increase,

￿press and hold the AUDIO button : for longer than two seconds.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "DNC".

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "LEVEL".

￿Adjust the increase using the joystick

￿Press the OK joystick 8or the AUDIO button :to exit the menu.

The settings are saved.

Subwoofer and centre speaker

You can connect a subwoofer and a centre speaker to this device.

To further optimise the sound when using a subwoofer and centre speaker, you can ad- just a low-pass filter for the subwoofer and one high-pass filter each for front and rear.

Adjusting the subwoofer increase

You can adjust a permanent volume in- crease or decrease for the connected sub- woofer from -6 to +6 and thereby increase or decrease the bass response of the sub- woofer. The setting to be selected depends upon the installation position and installa- tion location of the subwoofer in your vehi- cle. You may need to test various settings to find the most suitable one for your taste.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "SUBOUT".

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "GAIN".

￿Move the joystick 8up or right to in- crease the level or down or left to de- crease the level.
