Heart rate and SmartRate® features are available when you wear the chest strap or grasp both touch-sensitive handlebar grips. When a heartbeat is detected, the Heart Rate display shows your heart rate and the SmartRate LED pulses and indicates your target zone.

Guidelines

Read the following before using the heart rate feature.

Consult your physician before engaging in any vigorous exercise. Do not use the heart rate features until authorized by your physician.
