Assembly Steps

Position the rubber bib so the flared side faces the floor (as shown in the illustration) and slide it into the base of the upright support.

Place the upright support on the base crossbar so that the lip of the rubber bib rests on the crossbar and is parallel to the floor.

Have your assistant hold the upright support while you connect the two cables. Place excess cable inside the base assembly.

Note: The C842i has only one cable connection.

Important: Do not stretch, crimp, or damage the cables. Cables damaged by improper installation will not be covered by the Precor Limited Warranty.

CAUTION: Before tightening the screws, make sure the cables are not in danger of being crimped or pinched.

Secure the upright support to the base assembly using two hex head cap screws (A) and two washers (B). Alternately tighten each screw using a ³⁄₄-inch box-end or crescent wrench. Check the upright support to make sure it is securely fastened.
