QUICKSTART

The Fitness Test monitors your heart rate and calculates a fitness score based on your average heart rate during specific test stages. When the test is completed, the display provides a fitness score and fitness category.

The test results can help you gauge the effectiveness of your current exercise routine and tailor it to meet your fitness goals.

Guidelines

Before selecting the Fitness Test, read the following guidelines:

Sit and rest for at least five minutes prior to taking the test to bring your heart rate to a resting state.

The fitness score is affected by your weight, age, and gender.

You must enter this data during the setup phase.

For accurate heart rate readings, you must wear the chest strap throughout the test. The test acquires your heart rate during a test stage. If the heart rate reception is erratic, incorrect readings can occur and affect the accuracy of the overall fitness score.

When the first minute of the warm-up period elapses, the arrow keys are disabled.

Warm-Up Period

The cycle provides a 3-minute warm-up period before beginning the Fitness Test. During the warm-up period, the resistance is fixed and cannot be adjusted. Continue pedaling at a constant pace. The Fitness Test commences at the end of the warm-up period.

Important: If a message appears stating that your heart rate is too high, the test ends and the automatic cool-down period begins. Complete the cool-down period and retake the Fitness Test later.
