AVISO

Invacare recomienda que en todas las preparaciones para levantar y transferir a un paciente se cuente con la presencia de dos (2) asistentes.

LEVANTAR AL PACIENTE (FIGURA 1)

1.Solicite al paciente que realice lo siguiente:

A.Agarrarse a los asideros para las manos situados a ambos lados del Elevador Vertical.

B.Reclinarse sobre el Eslinga Vertical o Eslinga de Transporte.

AVISO

ESLINGA VERTICAL - Antes de levantar al paciente asegúrese de que el reborde in- ferior del eslinga vertical queda colocado en la parte inferior de la espalda del paciente, y que los brazos del paciente quedan fuera del eslinga vertical.

ESLINGA DE TRANSPORTE - Antes de levantar al paciente asegúrese de que el reborde inferior del eslinga de transporte queda colocado en la parte inferior de la columna vertebral del paciente, y de que sus brazos quedan fuera del eslinga de transporte.

Invacare NO recomienda bloquear las ruedas giratorias traseras del elevador verti- cal al levantar o transferir a un individuo. Esto puede ocasionar que el elevador se vuelque y ocasione lesiones al paciente o asistentes. Invacare RECOMIENDA que las ruedas giratorias traseras NO SEAN BLOQUEADAS en los procedimientos de levantamiento o transferencia. De esta forma el elevador se autoestabilizará cuando el paciente sea levantado y transferido desde o a una cama, silla u objeto estacionario.

Las patas de la base del Elevador Vertical DEBEN estar en posición de APERTURA MÁXIMA, y la palanca elevadora ENCAJADA en posición para proporcionar la máxima estabilidad y seguridad. Si el paciente está en una eslinga de transporte y es necesario desplazarse por un paso estrecho, cierre las patas del Elevador Ver- tical ÚNICAMENTE PARA ATRAVESAR DICHO PASO. Una vez el Elevador Vertical ha atravesado dicho paso, vuelva a colocar las patas de la base en la posición de APERTURA MÁXIMA y encaje la palanca elevadora INMEDIATAMENTE.

2.Asegúrese de lo siguiente:

A.Quelasrodillasdelpacienteesténenunaposición segura sobre el apoyo para las rodillas.

B.Que los pies del paciente estén colocados sobre la plataforma inferior tal y como se muestra en el PASO 2B de la FIGURA 1.

C.El borde inferior del:

ESLINGA VERTICAL queda colocado en la parte inferior de la espalda del paciente. ESLINGA DE TRANSPORTE queda colocado en la parte inferior de la columna vertebral del paciente.

D.Los brazos quedan fuera del transport o eslinga vertical.

E.Las ruedas giratorias posteriores no están bloqueadas.

F.Asegúrese de que las patas de la base están en la posición de apertura máxima y la palanca elevadora encajada en posición.

AVISO

Al elevar al paciente unos cuantos centímetros de la superficie desde la que se le está transfiriendo, comprobar que la eslinga está correctamente colocada y ajustada a los puntos de conexión del elevador vertical. Si cualquiera de los puntos de conexión no está adecuadamente colocado, volver a situar al paciente sobre la superficie desde la que se le está trasladando y corregir el problema.

Los ajustes necesarios deben, por confort y seguridad, realizarse antes de mover al paciente.

Las eslingas de Invacare, tanto Eslinga Vertical como Eslinga de Transporte, están espec- íficamente diseñadas para ser empleadas junto con el Elevador Vertical de Invacare. Las eslingas y accesorios diseñados por otros fabricantes distintos a Invacare no deben de ser utilizadas junto con el sistema de levantamiento de In- vacare Elevador Vertical. El uso de productos de otra marca diferente a Invacare queda expresamente prohibido y su empleo invalidará la garantía del Elevador Vertical de Invacare. Use solamente Vertical y de Transporte Eslingas de Invacare, así como accesorios de levantamiento para preservar la seguridad del paciente y la utilidad del producto.

Al transferir al paciente a una silla de ruedas: Las ruedas de la silla DEBEN estar bloqueadas ANTES de que el paciente descienda sobre la silla.

3.Al transferir al paciente a una silla de ruedas - bloquear las ruedas de la silla.

4.Presione el botón (Ï) para elevar al paciente por encima de la superficie (cama, silla o silla con retrete) desde la que se le está transfiriendo. El paciente debe ser solamente levantado la altura suficiente para dejar el espacio libre que facilite la transferencia, siendo en este proceso todo el peso soportado por el elevador.
