3 Press gor fto select the desired track (file).

Returning to the beginning of the current track (file): Press g.

Fast backward:

Press and hold g.

Advancing to the beginning of the next track (file): Press f.

Fast forward:

Press and hold f.

4 To pause playback, press -/J.

Pressing -/Jagain will resume playback.

5 To eject the disc, press c.

¥Do not remove a CD during its eject cycle. Do not load more than one disc at a time. A malfunction may result from doing either.

¥If the CD does not eject, press and hold c for at least 2 seconds.

CDE-9846 (compatible with MP3):

¥The CD-player can play discs containing audio data and MP3 data.

¥The track display for MP3 data playback is the file numbers recorded on the disc.

The following table shows which discs can be played on which models.

1 Insert a disc with the label side facing up.

The disc will be pulled into the unit automatically.

When a disc is already inserted, press SOURCE/POWER to switch to the CD mode.

The mode will change every time the button is pressed.

TUNER → CD → TUNER

2 CDE-9846:

While playing back MP3, press 1 9 or 8 2 to select the desired folder.

Pressing and holding 1 9 or 8 2 will change folders continuously.

¥If the folder number or file number are three digits, ÒFÓ or ÒTÓ is not displayed.

¥Press TITLE/ to switch the display. Please see ÒDisplaying the Title/TextÓ (page 14) for information about display switching.
